    Modern kinesiology is originated from Dr. Goodheart an American chiropractor who associated muscles with y meridians from Traditional Chinese Medicine, in order to improve the muscle tone and function. He created to foundation for connecting the western anatomy, physiology with traditional Asian healing modalities eg. Ayurveda or Traditional Chinese Medicine.

     

    Since than Kinesiology is used more than 100 countries, with at least 27 different modalities that focus on human being from physical, mental, spiritual and energetic point of view. Kinesiology is dynamically developing and became an integrative modality or interface between any healing modalities.

    In these turbid times the role of the community is inevitable. Lots of people feel helpless and can't cope with stress. If you are keen to help others Kinesiology gives you a quick and safe toolset to help your families, friends to release their stress. If you feel like it is your calling as a profession, there is a clear track to become internationally certified and approved in New Zealand as a Kinesiology practitioner.

     

    The journey is long and the learning is infinite, but you will love every part of it. You get balanced by the like minded and each course opens the scope to different part of life. You learn about yourself and you can use the knowledge straight after each course for helping others.

    Legal background

    In several countries Kinesiology plays an important part of the medical system as it helps to prevent problems and promotes self-responsibility, which is the key for long term health and well being. In several countries it is considered as a medical profession. In New Zealand it is a non-regulated complementary medicine, overseen by multiple organisations eg. Kinesiolology Association of New Zealand or Natural Health Practitioners New Zealand. So if you are keen you can get certified and get a valuable insurance to cover your work. More and more GP's are open to work with Kinesiology practitioners as they are looking for results and efficiency.

     

    It is up to you how much you take and how much you do. The certificates are internationally accepted, so if you move country it is all good.

    Learn the foundations of Kinesiology by completing Touch for Health Kinesiology 1-4

    Advanced Kinesiology

    Build on the foundations and learn SIPS Kinesiology 1-5 in order to provide high quality service to your clients

    Work through

    All courses come with books and workbooks. You need to complete the workbooks and demonstrate your understanding.

    Case studies

    Complete complex client specific, tutor administered and individual case studies to demonstrate your hands on knowledge.

    Anatomy & Physiology

    Make sure you complete an NZQA level 4 Anatomy and Physiology course.

    General Practitioner and Legal skills

    Ethics, documenting, business skills and communication with the client. All falls here.

    Basic Nutrition

    Make sure you are familiar with basic nutrition and herbal concepts, so you can help your client or refer her/him to the right place.

    First Aid

    OSH approved work place First Aid skills are must to have to do.
